Not taking into consideration Sepp being so young, 23 year-old driver has managed to compete in all the most significant world’s rally serials. It includes Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC), ERC and WRC. Back in 2011 Wiegand was crowned as vice-champion in German rally championship. In the same year he made his debut in WRC – Rallye Deutschland, where Wiegand finished 7th in juniors’ entry. In his next WRC performance in Rallye de France Alsace Wiegand was just a small step behind the podium in JWRC entry, finishing in the 4th place. In 2012 the young German driver was participating in the IRC serial and finished in the 4th place in overall standings, acquiring the same position in European rally cup.

Last year Sepp Wiegand paid full attention to WRC, where he participated in the WRC2 entry. He managed to finish 6th in the overall standings. However it’s worth mentioning that Sepp won the prestigious Monte Carlo rally in his entry.

“Rally Liepāja” will be this season’s first rally event for the German driver.
