The young Russian driver Vasily Gryazin is well-known in Latvia, mainly because of that Latvian legislation allows youngsters to participate in motoring events starting from 16 years-age. Vasily started his rally career in Latvia, and he still is driving under Latvian “motoring citizenship”. Vasily’s interest in rally is natural, since his father is formerly one of the best Russian rally drivers with WRC experience – Stanislav Gryazin. Choosing to train Vasily in versatile and complex Baltic rallies stages with sensibly chosen machinery, his father has already seen son’s first victories and success – in 2012 Vasily became the Latvian champion in R4 entry.

Last year Gryazin-junior attended five ERC events, showing the best result in Poland – 9th place. However, in this season’s first ERC rally in Austria 20 year-old driver took the very high 7th place.
