Like his father Marko, 19 year-old Simone Tempestini has accepter Romanian “rally citizenship”. Young Italian driver is only in the very beginning of his career, having only three full seasons in Romanian rally championship behind his back. In 2011 he took 9th place in his entry (94th in overall standings), but in the following year the results had improved drastically – 4th place in his entry and 11th in overall standings. In 2012 Simone also managed to participate in two Intercontinental Rally Challenge stages - Sibiului Rally Romania un Prime Yalta Rally. Unfortunately in both races there were some technical failures and he did not reach the finish.

Last year young driver attended 21 rally races in different championships – ERC, Romanian championship, Balkan Rally Cup, Italian “Italy Ronde” serial, as well as in a WRC event – Rally of Finland.

In this year’s first ERC race in Austria Simone was 24th in overall standings, but unfortunately retired in the fourth stage.
